In 2002 the Dutch government decided that everyone with a driving-license should be able to become a taxi chauffeur. This resulted in an increase of unskilled chauffeurs, outrageous fees and bad service. These negative consequences inspired Mr. de Leeuw and Mr. van de Velde to start this brand new taxi service with over 2 decades of combined experience. The mission statement of this company:

As soon as the company was founded, the enthusiastic reaction of the clientele proved the gentlemen right. Within the next 3 years Taxi Service 'de Meerlanden' grew out to become one of the biggest Schiphol centred taxi services in the area! Offering a large variety of products such as minivans, luxurious sedans and special discount rates for full day services, we can provide anyone with a tailor made solution (see
Rates).
A particularly interesting point is that we'll keep on expanding our fleet, as well as our product range in order to be able to gratify any of your future wishes.
We will do so while holding on to our high standards of quality and service;
We use only skilled and service minded chauffeurs that run their own business, in order to offer the highest thinkable service and dedication to our products.
